During a Spring Break road trip to Las Vegas, four college students find themselves stranded in the middle of Death Valley after their car crashes. With no means of surviving the harsh heat of the desert, how long will they last until the worst comes to pass?
AUTHOR’S COMMENTARY: If it wasn’t obvious already, I LOVE the horror genre. I love the movies, the books, the TV shows, the music…all of it! I’ve always wanted to write a straight-up horror story, reminiscent of the movies. But I didn’t want to write a slasher story…that’s been done a billion times. And even though “Evil Dead” is my favorite series of all time, I already have books that were inspired by it. *cough cough “Heathen’s Barrow” cough cough* So I channeled inspiration from another one of my favorite movies, “Cabin Fever”. The very premise of the “killer/monster” being mother nature itself makes me so giddy. It’s simple, but effective. I wanted to go for that, so here’s my attempt at a 100% pure horror story. Let me know if it scares you, okay?
